I am a preschool teacher with a diploma in child psychology and early education and currently pursuing my degree in psychology. I have been doing part time tuition for primary school students for the past 3 years. I enjoy using various methods to engage children and have succeeded in changing their grades for the better. I have started teaching tuition after graduated from JC(Raffles Institution). Now, I’m a NUS third year faculty of science (pharmaceutical chemistry) student . I graduated from Raffles Institution with five distinctions and my L1R5 score for O levels was 4. I scored A1 for my O level pure physics and chemistry, and A for A level H2 chemistry and physics. scored above 85 for all my secondary science, chemistry and physics exams. I have also attained bronze in mathematics Olympiad, which is evident of my problem-solving skills. I’m very familiar with current syllabus. I have experience of tutoring O level students since fours year ago and they all have improved tremendously (jumping a few grades up eg a sec 4 girl improved from C5 to A1 in O levels) under my guidance. I am willing to explain concepts slowly by using analogy and examples to make sure students understand them fully. I’m able to help tutee with school assignments and homework. I can teach students answering techniques which will be useful for them to ace their exams.I’ll go through past year questions and other schools’ exam papers with the tutee and spot his/her weakness along the way to help him/her to improve. For O level physics, I can provide notes which includes step to step solution and key answering techniques.
