I have 2 years of experience teaching for Primary 4 and Secondary 3 chinese. I started teaching Chinese when I was in Junior College and my teaching method is student orientated i.e focusing on students' needs. I will first understand the student's strengths and weaknesses and subsequently moving on to exercises to train them on their weaker areas. I am very flexible and willing to listen to student's needs, depending on their school workload. When i was teaching my Secondary 3 student, he jumped from a F9 to a pass within 6 months, given that he has a rather weak foundation in Chinese. I would give spelling every week as well as phrases that are relevant to use in school compositions. I personally took higher chinese since primary school and continued to take chinese literature when I was in Junior College and obtained A+/Distinction for the national exams. Hence, I am very familiar with the syllabus and the techniques to score well in exams.
