I have taught for two years as a private part time tutor. I teach primary school subjects- English, Mathematics and Science. I helped a P4 boy to improve from a pass in English (SA1) to Band 2 (SA2) and a pass in Mathematics (SA1) to Band 1 (SA2). I also had a short stint at a Student Care Centre, where I covered primary school Math and Science. I love teaching children and I believe that by being patient with the child and with lots of encouragement, we would be able to work towards achieving better results! I have one year of experience teaching Chinese for Primary 4 and Primary 5. After giving private tuition to a Primary 4 student, he managed to improve from a fail to a pass in Higher Chinese. I am Sarah, currently a Year 1 Pharmacy student in NUS. I have scored A1 for both GCE O Level EMath, Amath, and Chemistry. I have also scored A for GCE A Level H2 Math and H2 Chemistry. Since last year, I have started teaching O Level and Primary school Mathematics to my students. For upper secondary students, I usually brush up on their weaker topics during the weekly lessons by going through concepts in the textbook, and then we will try to solve questions in assessment books. As lesson time is quite short, my students usually text me if they have questions beforehand so I can solve them before lesson starts and I can go through it with them during lesson. I would also request my students to text me if they have questions that have to be urgently solved, and I will record an explanation for them as this can help to save time during lesson and ensure that they are consistent with their work. I will also give them some questions to complete every week as I believe that practice makes perfect.

I was the Lead of the English Language and Literature Department at Tanjong Katong Girls' and Bedok North Secondary School. I also taught at Yishun and Bowen Secondary schools. At Temasek and Victoria JC, I taught General Paper As a trained teacher, I tutored my children in English Language and Literature. They scored A1 in their finals. To evaluate my students' literacy, I look at their learning preferences, reading understanding, and writing abilities. Depending on the section of the exam, I utilize several teaching strategies. Primary students, especially those taking the PSLE, need more than just an understanding of English to excel in Synthesis and Transformation. Therefore, I would focus on teaching them exam-smart techniques to help them to score well. I utilize online tools to help teach my grammar lessons, giving my students a chance to become more fluent while still having fun. I have a software program I use for lower primary students called "My Spelling Wheel". This gives my student the chance to record her voice to practice speaking and spelling the words. A few learners may find writing compositions/essays intimidating, so I would have a short session of fun writing where both of us would write on a theme after which I would train them on the basics of being artistic in their compositions. They must practice getting close to excellence and there are techniques such as constructing a vocabulary bank, character directory, and of course grammar rules. My emphasis for my O-level candidates is to make sure they score, so my teaching style is highly exam-oriented. I'll set up a 3-hour review of both papers to get them ready for the finals before the date arrives. Every child learns differently, and my task is to understand and motivate them to succeed.

Dear Sirs, My name is Allan Wang and I am a part-time tutor for A Levels General Paper and/or O Levels English. I am currently a GP tutor in a renowned tuition centre. I am currently a qualified lawyer. I have also completed a short stint of 6 months at Hua Yi Secondary School as a relief teacher.
