Typical lessons include going through homework problems (which are good practice), or topical reviews to identify knowledge gaps. I handpick questions for each individual student based on their weaknesses and knowledge gaps as I believe getting them wrong and learning from their mistakes is one of the best ways to learn. All lesson notes and learning materials prepared by me are uploaded either onto a shared OneNote (preferred) or Google Drive for my student to retroactively refer to, especially near exam period. Iam easygoing and all my lessons will be casual, so that my student will feel encouraged and comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes to learn from.

I have 17 years of experience teaching O level and IGCSE A math, E math, Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry and Combined Sciences, with 3 years being full time tuition centre tutor and 14 years as a freelance private tutor. In general, I will focus first on helping the student do well for the upcoming tests so that the student can gain confidence and interest in the subject. When the current topics are mastered, I will go through the past topics to ensure the student's foundation is reinforced. Then we will work on future topics and aim to cover the whole syllabus before the school does. For my tuition centre, children normally show an improvement of 1-2 grades as they learn how to close the gaps in their learning e.g. Sec 1 Math: D->B or B->A/P4 English: C->B I have two years of experience in teaching Secondary 1 Mathematics and Primary 4 Mathematics - from lesson plans to implementation. Through integrating hands-on activities and kahoots, there was a positive change in the students' attitude towards mathematics and they were able to close the gap between B and A grade. Additionally, my current major in Chemistry allows me to have a more comprehensive grasp of science and math hence tutoring the O levels and A levels syllabus is within my capabilities.
