I am currently teaching english and phonics to a primary 3 beginner english learner with dyslexia so I am able to effectively communicate the basics of english and phonics. Due to my being up to date with current affairs, I will be able to help the student develop their creative writing skills and make lessons relatable and engaging for them. I will also break down complex questions and grammar concepts, so I will also be able to help the student pick out their strong areas and strategize focus study points for their examination to optimize their efforts.

I have taught in schools for a total of 10 years. I am a well-liked educator with a burning passion for Science and Mathematics. When I graduated from my honours programme, I was awarded 'The Singapore Mathematical Society Book Prize' for being the best student teacher in Mathematics in the Bachelor of Science (Education) (Secondary) programme. I have almost ten years of teaching experience in mainstream schools as a Mathematics and Biology teacher; and over six years of experience as a private tutor. As a private tutor, I have taught students from primary to JC/IB level. I was appointed as the subject head (Mathematics) in my previous school, and I am well-versed in the syllabus, curriculum, assessment literacy, and teaching pedagogies. In addition, I have attended and completed the 'Differentiated Instruction Made Practical' course conducted by Harvard Graduate School of Education. As such, my lessons cater to the diverse needs of my learners by providing scaffolding for them. Over the years, I have helped many students improve their academics and life skills.
