I am Sherina Kaur Dhillon, a Diploma Medical graduate from Republic Polytechnic. I am a positive person who is seeking to be an allied educator to use my communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Even though I do not have any real-life tutoring teaching experience, I am passionate about teaching and would love to put in my skills to better understand and support students. I understand that by applying for tutoring, I will be building relationships through socializing, exchanging communication strategies, and developing essential social skills together with parents for the students. I get a good sense of achievement after seeing how students grow and develop as individuals. I would like to make an impact in their lives by helping them with behavioral or speech or problems and carrying out my duties efficiently as a teacher. While waiting for my University, I have been working in the student care industry for 1 year. I handled a Primary 1 class which consisted of 18 students. I have planned various types of lessons to enable students to enjoy lessons. Moreover, I also taught subjects such as English and Mathematics. Students’ grades have improved significantly and received positive feedback from parents. This has enabled me to effectively communicate, find solutions to a problem, and gain better leadership and problem-solving skills. Therefore, I would like to further venture into various teaching opportunities. I am eager to do my best and I believe this is an ideal place to start and follow my dreams as a tutor while pursuing my degree in Psychology.

Hi! I am a Hwa Chong JC student who also works part-time as a Math tutor. As someone who enjoys the subject personally, this gives me the interest and motivation to spread this love for Math to a wider audience. I strongly believe that Mathematics holds infinite possibilities, and is not just an ordinary boring subject that students are forced to learn in school. I have been tutoring since my first year of undergraduate studies, and hope to continue to help students seek their fullest potential! My area of expertise is Primary School- Lower Secondary Mathematics, and I dare say that because improvement and results are guaranteed in ALL my students as long as we work together. In my early days, I excelled at the subject and fully understand the academic rigour needed to achieve such a high standard. I mastered multiplication before I finished kindergarten, and went on to achieve a silver award in SMOPS (Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools) in Primary 5. I have taught Mathematics from K1 to Sec 4 over these years, so I have plenty of experience. Aside from teaching Mathematics as a core subject, I am also able to teach hybrid sessions- English, Science, P1-3 Chinese. I provide Beginner Piano lessons as well! Tutoring is a very fulfilling job for me, nothing beats seeing my students desire to improve and have a thirst for knowledge :)
