I have a 5 year teaching experience. I gave math and science tuition as a volunteer at an organisation for youths-at-risk from 2018-2020 where the students were from both primary and secondary school. From 2022-2023, I worked as a private tutor, giving math tuition to 1 primary 3 and 1 primary 4 student. I also taught secondary 2 science as well.

Hi! I am Kisha. I am familiar with primary school and lower sec syllabus. I am 19 years old and have just finished retaking my O Level exams. I previously was in Zhonghua Primary School and got all As for my PSLE with a score of 232. I took a break after Secondary School and in 2022, i was enrolled in a O Level Prep School called City College. I studied hard and passed all my subjects except for math and POA. This year, i decided to retake my O Levels again to receive better results. I want to be a tutor to help other children who may be going through a tough time just like I had. I understand how difficult and stressful it can be to be in Singapore's education system and maybe having someone who has failed and tried again and again, like i have, may help certain students. It may motivate them to not give up. This is also good exposure for me as i am keen to become a teacher in the future. I will make sure that i am not just a tutor to those kids but more of a mentor and a friend that can guide them through this excruciatingly stressful life that is being a student. Even though i lack experience, I am VERY familiar with the syllabus and I hope to be able to be a good influence and help them!!!

I joined the Heartware Tuition Programme as a volunteer to teach primary 5 students for Tamil and foundation mathematics. When students do not understand a question or the explanation, I will try to explain in different ways until they understand a particular question. I can work at the students’ pace. I have 8 students: primary 2 (mathematics), primary 3 (Tamil), primary 5 (Tamil), primary 4 (Tamil), primary 6 (English, mathematics, science), primary 6 (Tamil), sec 2 (Tamil), sec 3 (Tamil) I also taught a special needs child, a primary 6 student in my church who has SEN (speech delay) and still teaching him now.
