Hi, A bit about my past experiences is that I have been teaching in a tuition centre for the past 2 years, now teaching students privately. Hence, with regards to the worksheets/curriculum, I can handle that. A bit about my past results is that I have students who wasn't doing very well in their combined sciences but ending up getting an A in their O Level examination in the recent O Level Examination. I'm not trying to show it off or anything but just want to show that with the right attitude and help, I believe that my students can achieve good grades. Personally, I coached my sisters for her O Level examinations, and resulting her to achieve a significant grade jump in her O Level examination. I prefer to teach and engage them as part of my teaching to motivate them further in their studies and not just stopping at O Level and I hope I do get an opportunity to guide your child as well. Over the span of a year, I volunteered to tutor Primary 6 Mathematics for low-income students at Ang Mo Kio Primary School to allow them to have the resources to perform well like their peers. We were not informed of their performance. However, the programme was effective with AMPKS continuing this partnership with Raffles Institution for future batches. Throughout this experience, I coached the students. Instead of giving them the right answer, I asked the right questions such that the students are able to come to the right answers themselves. Hence, instead of spoon feeding the students, I guided them and letting them think critically themselves such that they were able to emulate such thinking on their own in exams.
