I teach Math subjects (E Math, A Math and H2 Math) and Secondary level Physics and Chemistry. I have been teaching as a tutor for 10 years, including as a part-time tutor initially. I'm a patient and reliable tutor and I provide materials with varying levels of difficulty (up to advanced/challenging problems) for students to stretch their problem-solving abilities. First 1-2 lessons usually will be to gauge the student's learning pace and any knowledge gaps. Generally, I assign light homework after every lesson (should take approximately 1-2h to complete) to be completed by the next lesson. Each lesson usually involved a review of previously assigned homework, then topical review based on the MOE syllabus. Pedagogy: (a) Topical review to begin with a recap of key concepts, common misconceptions; (b) A few example problems to illustrate application of key concepts to exam questions; (c) Practice problems to be assigned as homework to reinforce understanding; (d) Practice problems to be progressively more advanced to stretch student's problem solving skills For students who are taking 1.5h classes, I strongly advise increasing tuition duration to 2h or 2.5h in the lead up to O levels to mimic the duration of exam papers (getting students used to sitting and focusing for 2h stretches to match exam conditions). My last 2 students who graduated last year who I tutored from Sec 3 saw grade improvement from C5 to A2 and B4 to A1 for A Math. My Pure Physics + Chemistry tutee scored A1 for both her O level Physics and Chemistry last year as well.

I am an IB Diploma graduate, scoring 7 in AAHL 2 years of tutoring experience. I have taught private home tuition for two students. currently have one student in IB1 HL Chemistry who has improved from Grade 5 in his Mid Year exams to Grade 7 in his year end exams. This student will be moving on to IB2 next year. I am currently teaching students in HL Chemistry and H2 Chemistry. I have also taught O Level Physics and A Maths, where both of my students scored A2 in these subjects for their finals (improving from D7 and C6 respectively) I have also taught another student in O Level Physics who just finished his exams, awaiting his results. He scored either A1 or A2 consistently throughout his exams in school My strong academic record shows that I understand concepts well and have mastered the skills required to perform during examinations. My recent experience with the rigours of the IB Diploma Programme positions me well to empathise with the challenges that students face today. From 2021 to 2023, I worked part-time as a tutor, providing one-on-one home-based tuition, primarily focused on teaching Chinese subjects to students from Primary 1 to Primary 3.
