I am currently pursuing a Diploma In Tamil Studies with Early Education ( Year 3 ) . I am being trained on how to teach preschool children and create a conducive environment for them to learn. I will also be preparing my own materials that caters to the children's learning needs. Apart from being just book-oriented, I will plan activities in between that make the lessons interesting.I am currently teaching P2 and P5 students for Tamil language. I am teaching a K1 student for English and Maths, a K2 student for English, Maths and Tamil and a K1 student for phonics. They are actively engaged in my lessons. I will provide constructive feedback to the parents regarding the child's performance after the lesson. I have given many Tamil speeches on stage that were organised by the Singapore Tamil Writers Association. I have written Singapore-based short stories in Tamil and have won first prize for it.I will provide activities or worksheets that trains the children’s alphabet . Storytelling can also be included so that children will be engaged in the lessons . I have my own handmade puppets to use for storytelling. I will show short videos as to how to pronounce the alphabets and words.

I have 2 years experience teaching for Secondary 3 - 4 Chemistry (O Level). After giving tuition to a Sec 3 boy, his grades and knowledge has been improving from average to top of class. My teaching is focused on the learning and understanding of concepts and key ideas for each topic, and drilling the students to ensure that they can fully comprehend the topics. I also have been teaching university students Computer Science as a Teaching Assistant.

I have 3 years of tutoring experience. One of my strengths is that I cater to students' learning styles and goals and have a lesson plan based on that. I have 4 students in total throughout my 3 years. One of them started at C5 in the mid-year exam and improved to B3 in the O level. The other 3 I still currently teaching. 1 of them was promoted from NT Math to NA Math. The other one maintained his grade despite the increased difficulty of the subject from sec 2 to sec 3. The last one started off with E8 in Sec 2 Math but in her recent prelim, she achieved B4 and C6 for E-Math and A-Math respectively. I will not be someone who brings additional stress to my student but instead be their guide to their goal. Thus, even though my students' improvements are not outstanding, I am still currently their tutor as they and their parents trust me.
