I had a brief experience tutoring lower secondary students after my A Levels while waiting to enlist into the army. I specialize in Math and Science as these are the subjects that I have been taking and doing well in. I will be matriculating into NUS Chemical Engineering in August 2015 because my passion lies in Chemistry and Math. I also took pure triple science and double math for my O Levels. To be honest, I was never the brightest student and I did badly during my younger years, but I discovered the right techniques in studying and picked myself up. Never been to the elite and best of schools myself, I understand the distractions and troubles that average students face in Singapore, I know just the right approach to inspire my students to better grades.

I have been tutoring part time for 9 years now. I teach Math at whatever levels from kindergarten to Polytechnic - includes A Math, E Math and Engineering Math. I have taught primary and lower secondary science and physics and chemistry for O levels. In my past students, I have taught primary school kids who have improved from 60s to 70s/80s in math and from fail to 60s. For sec school math and science, improvements up to 80s and 70s respectively.

Last year, I have tutored two 'N' level students for physics. Within 6 months (April to September), one improved from F9 to A2 and the other improved from F9 to B4. Both were able to promote to study 'O' levels. When I teach, I hope to help students improve on their weaker areas/topics. To really find out why they are struggling with them and come up with ways to help them grasp the concept. If it is something I am not sure of, I will be honest with them and tell them that I do not understand either. However, I will promise to get back to them on their doubts and ensure that I will be able to have answers for them the next lesson.
