I’ve taught IB students from CIS, OWIS, UWC east, SOTA, SJI international and Hwa Chong international schools. My student that has just graduated obtained a 7 for maths. I also tutored teaching P6 and Secondary 3 students. I also have 4 JC students now and prior to this, 2 more JC students who already graduated. They were from DHS, RVHS, RJC, CJC, MJC. My emphasis isn't just solely on grades itself. I would like to help the students to gain interest towards maths. I have taught 5 students in the past. All of them were about about to take their PSLE at the end of the year when i taught them. Generally, their grades have improved as compared with their results at the end of their P5 year to that of their P6 prelim grades. In particular, two of my students who usually scored C in Science score A in their PSLE. As for the rest, most of the subjects that i taught them in got mostly B. Before teaching them, some of their subjects barely passed.

I have two years of teaching experience, all of which are one-to-one tuition. My style of teaching include prompting students to ask questions, highlighting main concepts and a lot of practices. At the start and end of every lesson, I would ask my student if he has any question regarding homework or anything taught in school or tuition. During the lesson itself, I will go through the concepts covered in their curriculum in great detail and giving them practice questions now and then. When exams are nearing, I tend to increase the tempo by giving them more practices and papers to try. I believe such practices will enhance their memory and confidence in taking on the actual exam paper itself.
