I was an ex-JC lecturer for Physics at Serangoon JC and have been tutoring for more than 25 years. I left MOE April 2016. I was also teaching for a short time at Hwa Chong international school and Learner's Lodge + SSTC. Home tutored IB students for Physics, from ACS int'l school, and Edexcel yr 10 & 11 for private school student who scored A for his exams. I also tutored IB from ACS (independent + international) and have German International school IB SL student. For IP Physics, I taught students from HCI and RVHS Year 5 (JC1) level.

Currently I am pursuing a degree in Psychology at SIM, University of Buffalo. I do not have any experience giving home tuition but i do have experience teaching in schools and at enrichment centers which include Julia Gabriel, St. Joseph Church kindergarten and Chiltern House Halifax. I enjoy interacting with children and teaching them the skills required for them to succeed in future. I have taught children from pre-nursery up to K2 and would love the opportunity to try teaching a older age group. I have a passion for teaching children and I try my best to be engaging and interactive. I feel that it is important to give the children time to absorb what is being taught in class before continuing, and also checking to make sure if they have fully understood the concepts and then moving on. I plan practices to reinforce existing knowledge so that it will stay longer in their memory. I strongly believe that it is important for a child to enjoy learning because they will then develop the interest and desire to acquire knowledge independently to better themselves. As much as possible, I intend to relate the concepts that i would be teaching to everyday life so that the child can see its relevance and be more interested to learn.
