I am a fulltime tutor and taught IGCSE economics and business studies to int'l school students for more than 15 years.
All my students obtained A or A* for their exams, some being awarded top in the country by the Cambridge board of examiners.

Formerly,I had been teaching these subjects at Garden International School and ELC International School in Malaysia. I decided to start full time tutoring after teaching in schools for five years. Hence given my vast experience, I have a through understanding of the subjects and examination requirements.

I believe private tuition should be an opportunity for the student to explore a subject at their own pace and in their preferred style of learning. I tailor all my lessons to suit those needs, and try to make the subject as applicable to their own interests as possible in order to create a more memorable, engaging and ultimately enjoyable experience for the pupil.

In Business Studies and Economics in particular I believe it¢__Ô_æ¢s important to bring theory to life with relevant news stories and real life examples ¢__Ô_‹Ð having worked in companies as diverse as an Investment Bank to trading firms I have plenty of these.

Building a pupils confidence is of key importance for me, and I find a clear focus on exam technique and essay structure is vital in achieving this, as well as ensuring they have the right academic tools and mentality to continue to achieve their educational goals.

All my students have done consistently well even achieving the Cambridge learners award for Top in Malaysia and the World.

I have taught piano lessons, part-time for three years in Singapore and another two years in UK, during my weekends to 14 students with age ranging from primary school children to retired adults. All students both in SG and UK, other than the retired adults who just want to take it as a hobby, went on to take ABRSM examinations and acquired Merit grades.

I tutored a Year 2 girl, similar to primary 2 in SG, while I was in UK. I taught her maths and English speaking. Her calculus improved tremendously and speaks more fluently after weekly intensive training. She went on to do well in her tests in school.

While doing a research project in Newcastle University, UK, I was hired as a Teaching Assistant for two years. I have supervised Postgraduates in their final year projects and demonstrated and guided Undergraduates in laboratory exercises and lessons. Therefore I have first hand experience in UK universities education system.
