I have been tutoring part time for 3 years throughout my polytechnic years in Malay Language for primary school. Students usually improve from a B grade to a B+ or A. Apart from tutoring, I have also been teaching in preschool for 3 years as part of my course in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. My approach in teaching depends on the needs of the student. For kinesthetic learner, I will usually use hands on approach which will involve interactive game play. For visual learners, aids such as visual card or video will be shown to the student to enhance their learning. The lessons will usually be curated to the different needs of the students as different individuals have unique strengths and weaknesses.

Guided a p3 boy diagnosed with dyslexia to a B in foundation Chinese whilst he has consistently been failing and afraid of the subject in general. 1 student for 3 yrs and 1 student for 1 yr (one was from taonan, the latter from chij) 1st student tutored chinese that ltr dropped to foundation bcos his parents were planning letting him drop chi altogether due to dyslexia. Initial grade was failing to pass for normal chi before dropping to foundation, his psle for chi was B 2nd student was barely passing Initially for science n chi, at the end chi was able to get a C, but science didnt see much improvement
