I started teaching at the start of 2024 and have been able to help most my students improve their grade. I especially teach secondary school math and have helped all my students jump at least one grade. On top of that, I do teach primary school math and malay occasionally and have helped them deepen their understanding in the subjects. I provide my students with learning materials and will accommodate my teaching style to suit each individual student.

As a junior college graduate myself, I know of the rigor of Singapore's education system. I have seen my friends struggle with subjects such as history and chemistry, which both requires more than just memory work. As such, I hope to be able to help students acheive the necessary skills to ace these subjects. More importantly, I want them to develop an interest in these subjects. I have also consistently been placed in top 10% for subjects such as pure chemistry, history and english back in secondary school, ultimately achieving A1 for both subjects in the national examination. Similarly, I have also placed top 10% in H2 History examinations as well as General Paper in college. I have thus received prizes such as the outstanding overall leader award. I am currently tutoring Math, English and Humanities, to pre-school, primary and secondary school children. I am also currently a registered MOE Relief teacher.

I have provided on and off free tutoring to my classmates in secondary 4, preparing for O levels from June up to O levels. My friend managed to go from a B4 to an A1 in E math. I have also been part of an external organisation intended to provide tuition to the less privileged. I tutored students with special needs ranging from P5 to sec 3, as such I am familiar with how best to handle students with special needs. I tutored for 4-5 months in this organisation, Budding Minds. Lastly, I tutored my peers in JC as well nearing the A levels which helped them improve from a D to A in various subjects such as math, chemistry and physics.

I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Temasek Polytechnic's School of Business. I have almost 30 years of teaching experience in the polytechnic, specializing mainly in teaching Economics and Business Statistics. Students from PLMGS, CHIJ OLN, etc. I only teach maths. Most of them started with a fail or borderline pass. Their most recent results for WA2 was at least a 70. I teach all primary level Math and Chinese. My primary school Math and Chinese grade has always been at least an A. I have helped my weaker in math students (failing) to pass their WA. I will make use of assessment books to help them get more practice in math questions. If it’s finished, I will provide more worksheets for practice.
