I have 2 students, both from Dunman High, one takes Express A and E math, one takes NA E math Under my tuition for 3 months, they have improved their results during the prelims exam from Express Emath B4 to A2 A math B4 to A2 NA emath F9 to C5 As a Mathematics teacher, I am a patient individual that puts in the effort to bring the best out of my students. I strongly believe that every student has the capability to excel in Mathematics by strengthening their foundation and gain familiarity and ease with practice put in. Have offers from both NUS and NTU to study Mathematics and a scholarship offer from MOE to teach Mathematics. In the past 4 years, I have taught about a dozen students O level Express A&E Math, with the most notable student improving from 'C6' to 'A1' in a span of 2 months (Prelims to O level) I am a very easy-going and easily adaptable person, thus I will be able to alter my teaching style to the student's needs with specialized notes and questions.

My teaching experience started when i was 14 when I taught my younger cousins upper primary math and science for their PSLE helping them to get 90+ for their examinations. In secondary school, i was appointed as a student tutor to help teach struggling students pure chemistry and pure physics. I would join remedial lessons to teach the struggling students entire topics from scratch and review and mark their assignments. I had taught 15 students in total helping most of them achieve at least A2 for their EOY examinations and all seeing a grade improvement of at least 2 grades. In Junior College, my chemistry lecturer came up with an initiative to pair up excelling students with struggling students in hopes to improve their academic performances. I was paired up with a struggling student by my teacher in hopes that i could help improve her grades. I taught her entire topics from scratch and also introduced study methods to help her absorb and recall infomation faster that had worked for me. She saw a grade improvement from an E in prelims to an A in A levels. I believe that besides teaching students the topics itself to do well for their examinations, it is equally as important to teach them study methods and ways to help them learn more efficiently and effectively so that they will do well in the future as well.

Tuition centre teacher I teach H2 physics at a tuition centre now. Over the past year, I have been tutoring J1, Sec 3 and P6 students. Most of my students have seen good and steady improvement - e.g. P6 student who got AL1 for Math prelims, Sec 3 student who went from F9 to B4 within 2 months, J1 student who went from S to B for H2 physics. My method is to scrutinise the content with my students to make sure they have a complete understanding of the concepts, before moving on to drills and practice to ensure they know how to apply these concepts. As long as they are able to understand why they are wrong each time they do a question, they will get better! Going to NUS Law in 2026.
