I worked as a 晚自习 teacher a number of years ago, for a period of 9months to a group of Chinese students who attended Singapore schools. I accompanied them during evening revision and checked through their works in English, Chinese and Mathematics. I attended NIEC Early Years conversion last year, particularly in Chinese teaching. I obtained ACTA - Advance Certificate in Training and Assessment, I am competent in creating lesson plans and curriculums. I'm currently working in a preschool.

Preparing some of them for National Exams right now. As I started to consistently score A for Chem and Math in every consecutive school exam, I started to help out my peers with after-school for both chem and math peer-tutoring sessions. As their student mentor, I started refining the way I taught chem concepts to them. The math tutoring was part of the school initiative while the chem tutoring was my own initiative. I volunteered to teach my classmates and students from other classes after school for free. I printed worksheets for them to try during my secondary school days. Many of their grades improved after my lessons. I enjoyed teaching chemistry as I saw how my peers' grades improved after attending a couple of my tutoring sessions and I instantly knew that this was something I'd like to pursue.

Started out teaching by volunteering to tutor low-income students 1 to 1. I have taught all levels of primary school in mathematics, reading (phonics) for lower primary students and secondary 1 mathematics. After 1 year, I see improvements in students grades and even their learning attitudes. For JC, I have a H2 math girl from MI and a H2 Chem student from JPJC I will be going to NTU or SMU in Aug 2025.

I had previously taught at an enrichment centre before, Kumon enrichment centre, and I had taught there for almost 2 years. For home tuition, my students are mostly from schools like Beacon Primary School, Qifa Primary School, Canberra Primary School, Boon Lay Primary school, and Admiralty Primary School etc, and I’ve tutored all subjects so far. One of my students whom I had tutored English for example, he used to score Merit grade in his English all the time but after getting tutored by me he had improved over time and had started scoring distinctions.
