Hello! I’m Zavier, and I love teaching Chemistry! I believe that every student should find chemistry easy no matter the level, as it is a very fun subject. Having understood the common pitfalls that students encounter when learning chemistry, I am VERY CONFIDENT in my abilities to guide my students. As of now, I am studying in NUS College of Humanities and Sciences - Bachelor of Chemistry (Major). My Academic achievements are as follows: JC1 Promos: Top in H2 Chemistry JC2 Prelims: Top in H2 and H3 Chemistry A Levels: 90RP, H2 Chemistry A, H3 Chem Merit Participation in 35th Singapore Chemistry Olympiad in 2023 I taught in a peer-tutoring programme in my JC, and I have tutored some of my juniors upon graduation. In total, I have taught 8 students on a 1-to-1 basis. After attending my lessons, my students have witnessed significant improvement in their grades from C/D/E in their first few tests to A/B in their most recent exams. During my lessons, I like to listen to my students speak about their struggles in learning new concepts. From this, I can understand the way they analyse and approach problems, which lets me personalise our lessons. I will go through tougher questions with my students to strengthen their weaker concepts, then have them attempt similar questions on their own before I mark and explain them. These questions will either come from past-year A-level papers, JC exam papers or original questions written by myself. My teaching style involves using simple analogies to tone down the complexity of chemistry concepts. I believe that this method of teaching not only breaks down difficult chemistry concepts into bite-sized information for students to easily digest, but it ALSO adds a unique sense of fun and humour into learning chemistry!

Hi! I am Roopal, a second year undergraduate student at Imperial College London with a strong passion for tutoring primary and secondary students Science and Maths. I have previously been a Kumon tutor, tutoring students aged between 6-12 years, Maths and English. You must wonder, why me? My method of teaching is very personalised. I tailor my lessons according to the students needs so that they are able to understand a concept in an easy and concise manner. I have also recently graduated from IBDP programme in 2024 with an overall score of 41/45 grade points. I have 3 years in teaching. I am currently teaching in one of the tuition Centre outlet in Singapore, I am also a private math tutor. A Sec 1 G2 student scored 30/100 in Semester 1 in march. His parents started looking for a math private tutor urgently as he has 1 month to go before his semester 2 paper in June. I started tutoring him. I taught him for 3-4 lesson. Within a month, he scored 60+/100 in his semester 2 exam. His parents were very happy as he never had pass his math exams before. Ever since then till now, he has never failed his math. I pinpoint accurately to the student's weakness and teach them with proper mathematic working and techniques. I also provide notes and formula sheets for easier revision instead of reading chunk of textbooks. I advocate study smart and help boost student's critical thinking.
