My interest in teaching began during the course of pursuing my Polytechnic study. Explaining concept from several challenging science modules came across as a highly enjoyable process when my peers are able to resolve their doubts and understand a subject better. This rewarding experience paved the way for me to seek for more teaching opportunities. I have thus offered Elementary Mathematics tuition for a student from Sec 2NA stream. Through identifying common mistakes and enriching his learning with supplementary practices, his Mathematics results improved from grade C6 to B3. Similarly, another student who struggled with the same subject was able to secure an A grade from an initially borderline score for her PSLE and have continued to be under my guidance for secondary Elementary mathematics in the express stream.
Building on these experiences, I have developed my own teaching philosophy in that I recognized the importance of ensuring that students¢__Ô_æ¢ social-emotional wellbeing is accounted for during their academic journey. The emphasis on academic excellence in Singapore have in part been a potent stressor for many students with many having the tendency to base their self-worth on academics. Such pressure if left undetected could impact on ones academic performance even amongst individual with the aptitude to excel. In addressing their concerns, I have also attempted incorporating useful learning strategies and life skills such as effective time management to further enrich their learning.

I did relief teaching in West Grove Primary for a certain period of time.

I have 3 years of experience teaching all primary levels English Math Science, and lower primary Chinese. My students grades have always improved, whether It is slightly or tremendously.

Currently I am tutoring full time, so I am fully committed to my students.

I had students from Da La Salle Pri, West Grove Pri, Dazhong Pri, West Spring Pri. One example of tremendous improvement was my primary 6 student for his math, his initial score was a fail just below the passing mark. After tuition he got a B, which was already a huge jump of improvement.

Have taught students from various levels( kindergarten to Dip) for the past 3+ years. I would be using textbooks, printed worksheets or assessment books if the student has it. Will ensure the Student concentrate during the lessons by making it more interesting. ( Eg: I use videos to allow the student to visualize Diff processes(eg: digestion) this make the student more engaged and lively.

I have three years of giving tuitions, the way I was teaching is helping students to generate interest of studying mandarin by giving more literature explosure to them. -Freelance Chinese writer and translator , more to literature and implement interest of ancient teaching of 四书五经与国学，which is helped student in their behavior (修养）grow instead merely intellectually grow . One of the student is p4, spent 5 months and he never pass his Chinese paper, managed to help him in 成语and 作文to improve and he passed his Chinese paper recently, Another student p2 , started from p1 till p2, at first he couldn’t understand, couldn’t speak and read Chinese. But now can understand and speak as I let him watching some Chinese children video, and focus in 汉语拼音 for the first three months, now he can read and pronounce more than 90% of words with 汉语拼音，now he is p2, I am trying to train him read w/o 汉语拼音and write. He is from Geylang Methodist primary school.
