I have 2 years of experience teaching a secondary 2 ip girl (Sec 2 to 3). After tutoring, her E and A maths grades have improved from to an A. After receiving various tuitions when I was young, I was exposed to the different teaching and learning styles. Hence, I am quite flexible and adaptable when catering to the needs of students. From the usage of assessment's to notes and textbooks etc, I am certain that the students would learn effectively. If possible, I would also introduce alternative methods of solving a question, allowing students to carry on when their stuck and most importantly, not be too fixated.

I am currently teaching English at a centre at Bedok North, it is my second year there. Most of my students are from the neighbourhood, and do not speak English at home, hence they are quite weak in English, with an exception of a few students, who would get a B grade in school.

Last year I took sec 4 and Sec 1, and lower primary classes. This year, I take only secondary students, from sec 1 to 4. Almost all my sec 2 students followed me from sec 1, some have showed improvement, 1 of the girls, after a few months in my class last year said she passed her English exams for the first time, hence, she would follow me to sec 2.

I prefer teaching secondary school students, as I can relate to them well. At the end of the day, when students improve, I feel that besides the tutor, it is also the student who has to have the willingness to put in the effort.
