Accomplishments
Successfully conduct my first Chinese creative Speech & Drama class independently, after being trained, understand & acquaint with lesson plans, as an assistant teacher to observe supervisor conducting lessons, demonstration, master authentic drama performance skills, dramatic & fantastic story-telling skills (e.g. changing of voice tone, face & body language expression, based on different rolls & characters and situations), dramatic atmosphere creating (including specific music playing, materials using, drama class place setting), attractive & smooth activities organisation skills (roll-play, group discussions & activities, personal expressions), lesson time management skills, interacting skills with students, student management skills (e.g. discuss & act classroom agreements, respect students), fully preparation of teaching materials, and overcome inner tension.
Successfully develop & conduct my first Chinese online programs and holiday camps during Covid-19 by doing video recording, preparing teaching materials, demonstration and practicing using online software for video call, taking into consideration of the surrounding environment during the video call to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable lesson for the student.
Successfully conduct my first on-the-job training for two new team members and few part-timers by listing out job scope, training & explaining the lesson plans, demonstrating teaching activities, classroom management skills, and communication skills with students. This is to ensure that the new staffs are able to conduct their first Chinese Speech & Drama class independently and successfully.
A lot of testimonials from parents. Such as, managed to influence a child with social phobia became a well-participating student in my class. Students are willing to speak in Chinese more frequently at home after attending my lessons, and so on.
