While I am relatively new to tutoring, I have guided my peers in Chinese Oral skills by implementing conversational prompts and simple ways to translate their ideas and thoughts into professional words and phrases in Chinese if possible or the simpler terms if their not familiar with those. Instead of blankly memorising, I taught them that oral examiners look for 5 key points, your eye contact, confidence, the right tone, speaking speed and most importantly if you're able to convey your ideas fluently. That can easily get you a Merit for Chinese oral not the stereotypical teaching method where you memorise bombastic vocabs and it has been proven effective as based on what my peers has feedbacked, they recognise more words that I emphasised on as they are often seen as basic connectors in sentences and results show that they went from a borderline pass/fail to a Merit in O level Chinese Oral. I am patient and often work well with quieter students. I look forward to being able to provide this engaging learning experience for your child. Trial lessons can be discussed as well.

I have experience tutoring primarily upper primary students. I have taught Math as a volunteer to students under the Financial Assistance Scheme which I did for a year. I am currently tutoring Math to a P5 student. I completed my A Levels last year where I studied H2 Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Geography. Thus I have vast knowledge in these subjects. I am a patient teacher who allows my students to attempt questions and push themselves but I will always step in and guide them when I notice them struggling. This way, I can identify weaker points and help my students improve. In School, I have also helped my fellow classmates to understand tough concepts, helping them to figure out how to do the questions.
