I am a dedicated and MOE-trained Chinese Language educator with over 10 years of teaching experience in MOE schools and more than 20 years of private tutoring experience. I started my own journey in the NA stream and, through consistent effort and effective strategies, I qualified for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) and later progressed to NUS. I understand not only the academic demands but also the confidence struggles students sometimes face with subjects like Math. This shared background helps me relate to your child and explain mathematical concepts in ways that make sense from an Normal Stream student’s perspective. My teaching style is break down the exam papers into different sections and we will go through these sections one by one and eventually build up the confidence within the student to tackle the whole exam paper and eventually score well. My tutoring approach is patient, engaging, and focused on helping students gain confidence and mastery in Math. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to equip students with the skills and mindset to tackle Math problems independently and with less fear.

I have been teaching for over 13 years, for all primary levels including preschool. In my years of teaching experience, I have taught both as a private tutor as well as a teacher at Spencer Learning Centre. Proficiently in line with the local syllabus, my teaching style differs from student to student, and I also create my own worksheets/materials for my students after assessing their weaker areas. I have had a great deal of passing rate with my students. I have also had the experience of teaching students with ADHD and have also prepped students for the AEIS exams. I have less than 1 year of experience with that experience being teaching my cousin secondary 4 e-math. He was struggling with maths a lot so i tutored him for about 6 months and his grade improved from a D in his mid year paper to a B in his O'Levels . Then after i started teaching and tutoring my friends in university year 1 and year 2 maths every week, it helped learn math better and learnt how to teach higher math to other people. I am having summer holidays now in University and i enjoyed teaching mathematics so I'm trying to see if there are any opportunities out there for me to do so.
