I have experience teaching lower primary English as well as all levels of primary Mathematics. I focus on the learning of mathematical concepts through the concrete-pictorial-abstract approach and build students' confidence and joy in learning Mathematics. I am familiar with the latest MOE syllabus and the trends of PSLE questions. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters of Education.

I am currently an undergraduate of NTU Mathematical Science, with a Second Major in Data Analytics. I have a strong passion and background for the subject, and have participated in various Math Olympiad competitions in the past, even winning awards in a couple. As for my teaching experience, I have taught 4 students over the past 3 years, ranging from P3 to JC1 level. I am patient and know how to adjust my teaching methods based on the student's learning ability and knowledge on the subject. I believe that I will be able to connect with students to help them enjoy learning and understanding the subject better.

I have graduated from Cedar Girls’ Secondary School and Victoria Junior College, with a GPA of 3.5 and a RP of 85 respectively. I scored a 250 for PSLE, with an A* in both Maths and English. I have approximately one and a half years of experience tutoring Mathematics and Science for students from Primary 4 to Secondary 2. During this time, I supported a Secondary 2 student in improving her Mathematics grade from a C6 to an A2 in about six months. Additionally, I helped a Primary 4 student raise their Science grade from a failing mark to a B4 over the course of a year. My approach is tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Materials used during lessons will be decided after understanding the student’s learning preferences and reviewing the materials provided by their school, to ensure alignment with their curriculum and optimal support.
