** Lessons will cover : mock paper practices, reading comprehension, classified essays, email writing, newspaper reports, discursive writing, current affairs discussion and writing, oral training (all as per school syllabus)
** Familiar with local, IP, IB, IGCSE syllabus
-Have taught Primary to Secondary levels G1-3 Chinese and Higher Chinese. H1 JC Chinese.
-Very experience in creative writing (writing technique) and oral (answering technique) which will benefit the graduating students and help them to score in national exam.
- Role play n cross questioning in oral sessions will help to prepare the students in advance so they are more confident to handle difficult questions on day of exam.
-Proven records to be able to get students interested in this subject especially for the more reserve and weaker one and makes the lessons a fun and interesting one hence motivate them to learn.
-Chinese may not be difficult to learn but is not easy to teach as each student is different so to be able to devise a lesson plan to teach each individual requires lots of efforts and patience. Is that extra efforts that makes the difference in order to make the students reaped at the end of class.
-Making the students know how to remember and apply the technique learned in tutorial class during exam is utmost important.
-Students will be exposed to a wide range of vocabulary, question types and answering technique for Language application and Comprehension.
-Conduct mock tests regularly to ensure that students understand the syllabus learned and prepared for exam.
-Teaching ahead of the school will ensure that student is able to understand better in class and be ahead of their peers.
-Help students to improve their learning by highlighting common mistakes or answering techniques or identify and use of keywords to score in exam.
-Regularly share updates with parents on their child’s progress and provide solutions or suggestions on how to help child to excel.
-Using unconventional teaching methods help my students to digest and understand better and score good grade in this subject, with some given the opportunity to do G3 or Higher Chinese.
-Able to drive the weaker students taking national exam to improve from E8 to B4. Those scoring a B4 or B3 grade escalates to A2 or A1 respectively.
-Taught O level Chinese to a Secondary 2 Indonesian student who had NO KNOWLEDGE of Chinese and started from a blank slate. Grades improved from failing to a pass in O levels within 3 years.
-Yearly teaching an average of 3-4 P6 students and 2-4 Sec 4/5 students.
-On hand have 19 students from P2 to Sec 5. Many of my students continue from Primary to Secondary levels.
