Hi! I am Roopal, a second year undergraduate student at Imperial College London with a strong passion for tutoring primary and secondary students Science and Maths. I have previously been a Kumon tutor, tutoring students aged between 6-12 years, Maths and English. You must wonder, why me? My method of teaching is very personalised. I tailor my lessons according to the students needs so that they are able to understand a concept in an easy and concise manner. I have also recently graduated from IBDP programme in 2024 with an overall score of 41/45 grade points. As someone who has tried various learning strategies herself and also understands how overwhelming it can be for students to manage academics with their extracurriculars, I have always tailored lessons according to the students needs and have seen tremendous improvements in their performances. I do acknowledge that every students approach towards teaching may be different and I am willing to include activities, worksheets and questionbanks that might help them understand better. will be providing revision topic wise question banks on a regular basis and I will review and correct these outside of class to ensure that the material covered in lessons is being properly understood. I also make it a priority to connect with the parents regularly, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and ensuring that learning remains on track. I have 3 years in teaching. I am currently teaching in one of the tuition Centre outlet in Singapore, I am also a private math tutor. A Sec 1 G2 student scored 30/100 in Semester 1 in march. His parents started looking for a math private tutor urgently as he has 1 month to go before his semester 2 paper in June. I started tutoring him. I taught him for 3-4 lesson. Within a month, he scored 60+/100 in his semester 2 exam. His parents were very happy as he never had pass his math exams before. Ever since then till now, he has never failed his math. I pinpoint accurately to the student's weakness and teach them with proper mathematic working and techniques. I also provide notes and formula sheets for easier revision instead of reading chunk of textbooks. I advocate study smart and help boost student's critical thinking.
