I received an A1 in POA and graduated from Marsiling Secondary School. In 2023, I gained a few months of experience teaching POA to a student, helping her improve from a B4 to an A2. I have one year of experience teaching two Primary 6 students in Chinese, and both of them achieved an A grade in their final examinations. In addition, I tutored another student from Primary 6 to Secondary 3 in Chinese, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Through these experiences, I have developed effective teaching methods tailored to each student’s learning style and pace. Hi, I am currently awaiting matriculation into NUS College of Humanities and Sciences this year. Throughout my academic journey, I would say I can emotionally empathize with students who need more academic help and direction, as I myself could be considered a late bloomer. My teachers have said that I have a natural flair for humanities-based subjects like Geography, Social Studies, and Literature. Nonetheless, I enjoyed and did well in Biology and Accounting during my O-levels. I have both formal and informal tutoring experience—formally through community-based volunteering during my academic journey (not for profit/monetary gains) and informally by helping my classmates with subjects in secondary school and polytechnic modules. The methods I would employ involve identifying, recognizing, and understanding students' misunderstandings in their core concepts or foundational knowledge before moving on to more complex ones that require synthesizing multiple concepts. As a visual and read/write learner, I would also provide notes if needed. Being cognizant of the Singapore education system, I also place importance on being "exam smart"—knowing how to answer questions concisely. Too often, I have seen myself, my friends, and even former students understand the subject material but struggle to demonstrate their knowledge effectively to exam markers. My strategy includes structuring responses for open-ended questions in humanities and sciences, as well as explaining the workings/methods for deriving answers in accounting. I am glad that I still have my O-level worksheets and notes today, which contain invaluable exam remarks and insights accumulated over my academic years which I can pass it down to, which no other new published textbooks and self study books would have such discretionary notes. I graduated from Eunoia Junior College with A for H2 Maths and has been teaching throughout my Secondary school and JC life I have 3-4 years of teaching experience and most of my students have improved with grade jumps of 2 or even 3 grades. Having graduated from Catholic High school Integrated programme with A for maths my entire secondary school life and an average of 94 for E math in the year 4 IP exam and 98 in year 4 IP exam for A math, I have deep knowledge about the secondary school syllabus and can provide my insights and strategies to excelling in exams and how to avoid making mistakes. I’m also very patient and is willing to go through past questions and mistakes to make sure that the student don’t make the same mistakes in the exam. I’m very approachable and contactable at most times of the day so the student can consult me and I will try to reply asap to any question the student has. I have also tutored primary school students and is very familiar with the primary school syllabus and is currently tutoring a P5 math student.

Other than my academic background, I have always been a team player who keeps an open mind for differing opinions and to find the common grounds where everyone feels comfortable. A strong advocate for punctuality as well as self-discipline which are the key traits to self growth. I am a huge lover for sports or any outdoor activities, and therefore, i am also open to providing coaching classes to sports such as frisbee, badminton and netball. One of my notable achievements in my whole sports journey would be getting scouted for a national team back in the year of 2022 and came in first place on district level for netball for three consecutive years.
