I have taught Physics, Chemistry, combined science (Phy/Chem) and lower secondary science to students from all levels (Sec 1 to 5) as well as Primary 1-6 Maths & Science in home tuition. I am now teaching in a tuition centre and also fulltime home tutoring. I have more than 15 years experience. Being a teacher has acquired me with skills and knowledge to deliver good lessons and also cater to the learning needs of the students. I will also provide worksheets to my students. I am a graduate from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (National University of Singapore) with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (2nd Class Upper) degree in History. I also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Specialisation in teaching at Secondary School Level) with Credit in History and English Language. I worked as a journalist with Singapore Press Holdings. I am currently a full-time English Language and General Paper teacher in an independent school. I am the subject head of English Language and also the General Paper teacher of the school. I have experience teaching students ranging from primary school to secondary school. I mostly specialize in Mathematics, with grades A1 and A2 for E Maths and A Maths respectively. I have taught several secondary students (Sec 1 to 4) E and A Maths, whose grades have improved tremendously: (Sec 2 Math) from C5 to A2 , (Sec 4 A Math) from B4 to A1, (Sec 3 E Math) from D7 to B3, (Sec 1 Math) from C5 to B3 and Sec 4 (E & A Math) from C6 to B3. My principle of teachings is to try all ways and methods (fun and creative), to make the student understand the concepts better instead of memorizing by hard as I believe in Math, memorizing does not do any good to you.
