I have been a preschool teacher for 5 years and have taught ages 2-6. I teach daily curriculum such as English and Maths. For English, we do blending of words as well as recognising words with the phonetic sound of the letters. These enhance their ability to grasp more words as they progress. For Maths, we do number bonds which allow children to count in groups of 2s,3s,5s,10s. This aids them in their time-table.

For O levels I scored A1 for both English and Literature (Tanglin Secondary School) I am currently a volunteer tutor at Children’s Wishing Well, and a teacher’s assistant at mindchamps. I’ve been teaching my student for 3 months, and as she doesn’t go to school she doesn’t have any grades to be compared. She has improved significantly from not being able to read to being able to identify certain words and spelling them out.

Around 3 years experience and over 14 students for Pure Geography, Elective Geography and SS. Students come from a variety of schools (ACSI, Bukit Panjang, Bendemeer, Private schools). Example grade improvements include F9 to B4, B4 to A2 etc. A few students I took up were through parents' recommendations. Currently tutoring three Secondary 4 Students in the newest 2024/2025 Geography syllabus, and also a Secondary 1 student. I previously scored a Distinction in A'Level H3 Geography, A in A'Level H2 Geography, A1 in O'Level Pure Geography, A1 in Combined Humanities (History/SS). I also have prior experience conducting online Geography lessons with 3 students as well as the resources to support learning. I always try my best to curate lessons to students' learning needs and style, and spend as much time focusing on answering techniques as on content. Most importantly, I try to make lessons engaging especially for lower secondary students, making the content relatable to day to day issues/experiences. Spent three months doing private tutoring for an at-risk-youth at Singapore Community Rehabilitation Centre - supported the youth in secondary-level English and Mathematics to undertake the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (WPLN).
