I have had 7 private students throughout my 2 years of tutoring experiences as of now. 3 of them were from my former pri school (2 P5s, 1 P2) and 4 from my high school (Nanyang Girls High School - 2 Sec 2s, 2 Sec 3s) For me, my students’ grades, interest in the subject and ability to grasp the concepts at the end of the day are my utmost priority. I believe in adjusting one’s pedagogies to fit every student’s needs as there is no one-size-fits-all learning style for all people. Therefore, I strive to understand their areas of weaknesses in the subject before devising a suitable teaching plan for them to maximise their learning potential. As a side note, 2 of my students have managed to achieve a feat of grade improvement from B4 to A1 by the end of their sec 2 year, which I strongly credit to both their hard efforts and my patience & eye for detail. I will not hesitate to prepare additional revision materials as and when required.
