- I taught in Mind and Heart Tuition Centre for 4 years where I ran my own English and Literature (for secondary and JC levels). - I also have been teaching tuition 121 over the last 5 years, my students ranged from primary to junior college and were from both local and international schools (so O level and IB curriculum). - I completed the MOE Teaching Internship and taught English and Literature at Fairfield Secondary School for a while. - My students ranged from secondary 1 to J2s and have come from a myriad of schools including ACS, MGS, SCGS, Crescent, SJI, ACJC, YJC and Hwachong. -I have lost track of how many students I've had over the past few years but most of my secondary level students have gotten A1s and A2s. - For JC Literature, I've taught The great Gatsby, Doctor Fautus, Women Beware Women, Marvell's Poetry, Othello, Hamlet, Streetcar Named Desire, Age of Innocence and The Scarlett Letter. - Of my 5 JC Literature students, 3 got A, 1 got B and the last one is awaiting her results. I have been teaching for 4-5 years and cultivated a genuine joy in bonding with students and nurturing their academic interests. I worked in a tuition center for 4 years, completed various teaching internships and even traveled to Nepal once for a teaching immersion experience. I now specialize in English Literature at upper secondary and junior college levels. I completed the MOE internship and taught in Fairfield Methodist Secondary School. I then proceeded to work in Mind and Heart English Tuition Centre for 4 years where I ran English and Literature classes and wrote material for them. My students ranged from secondary 1 to J2s and have come from a myriad of schools including ACS, MGS, SCGS, Crescent, SJI, ACJC, YJC and Hwachong. I've also had multiple one-to-one specialized courses with students from IB or international school programs in Australia.

As someone who has been through Singapore's education myself, I strongly believe that teachers have a big impact on students' passion and learning experience towards different subjects. I was blessed enough to have great teachers in Primary School that made me fall in love with almost all my subjects, particularly Mathematics. Since then, I have excelled in most of my subjects and even aced all my mathematical subjects ever since Primary School. I was also the recipient of Anderson Junior College School Advisory Committee Scholarship and am currently a recipient of DHL Express Scholarship. I aim to make learning fun and engaging with students so as to allow students to be more interested in the subjects that they are studying. Although I have no prior professional experience for teaching, I have worked with MOE students for the past 3 years as an Outdoor Adventure Camp Instructor under both Adam Khoo and InnoTrek where I taught both soft skills and hard skills. Furthermore, I have also travelled to Laos to teach the locals both English and Math.

I have 2 years experience teaching primary and secondary school Math in the community centre at St Hilda’s, as part of a community outreach programme by my school. I helped the students with their homework and other additional practices. This extends to other subjects which required my assistance too. Discipline and hard work were key under my guidance, to see an improvement in their results. Rest assured that I have the relevant skills necessary to tackle different questions and topics. Being a Math enthusiast myself, I am familiar with the syllabus and I will do all I can to impart my knowledge to your child.
