1.Primary 6 girl was weak at vocabulary and comprehension, as well as editing, I handheld her with each component, followed by past year papers, to get her used to the format. New words encountered was jotted in a word bank and practice done to construct sentences with them. She struggled with composition, I provided various topics and let her practice, marking the work along the way and helped her refine her compositions, Primary 6 was Chinese PRC, I am effectively bilingual, could communicate effectively with her to ease her burden. Homework was given on a regular basis to allow students to venture out on her own and practice.
2. Teaching the Secondary 1 student was similar. We also did a “mistakes booklet” to jot down the commonly made mistakes she committed in writing. She mentioned she was the only girl to jump by 5 marks in her class. Her teacher was surprised at the sudden use of words like “jubilant” , “exhilarated”, etc in her compositions. Homework was given on a regular basis to allow students to venture out on her own and practice.
3. Teaching the Secondary 4 student was similar. Teaching the Secondary 4 N level boy required more patience as he was easily distracted. The approach was similar except lessons were conducted at a slower pace. Homework was given on a regular basis to allow student to venture out on his own and practice

Finally, playing piquing interest in the subject by playing Boggle, crossword puzzles with students.
8. Taught a Primary 3 student at Fernvale English, student was distracted easily, and often made careless mistakes. Improved slightly after all-rounded exercises were administered, this encompasses compositions, past year papers, assessment books for theory, making word bank and mistakes sheets compulsory.
9. Taught a K1 student EMC, near Pei Hwa Secondary. She was focused, and interested in my pedagogy and tutelage, all-rounded assessment was provided, this entailed assessment books for all three subjects.

12. The Light at Cairnhill- Client’s name was Ms Melissa, student was in Primary 3, client needed assistance in compositions, assessment books were bought, and pedagogy was delivered. Model compositions were administrated in a easy-to-digest format.

Word banks and “common mistakes” sheets were made available, student mentioned her grades improved by 5 marks, the only student to have improved by such an extent.
