I taught Economics for 20 years (1999-2020) in RI, HCI, SAJC. Specialize in GCE H2 Economics In 2021, I gave home tuition and zoom online tuition for H2 Econs to a few JC2 students. All of them had significant improvements from jc1 promos/jc2 prelims, scoring As and Bs for the 2021 GCE A levels for H2 Econs.

Worked as private tutor teaching both Primary and Secondary Students in Subjects including Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry since year 2018. Proficient in Chinese as well, and have previously worked as English-Mandarin translator. Currently able to commit for all weekdays afternoon/evening, but only able to commit for Sunday evening for weekends. I have been tuitioning since 2018, including subjects such as primary Math/Science, secondary E Math/ A Math/ Physics/ Chemistry. Currently having 3 Sec 3 students from Greenridge Sec, CCK Sec and Kranji Sec respectively. (1-1 tuition) One of them only started to have lesson with me last Dec, with his Sec 2 math scoring 40+ for EOY exam. But he have obtained 80+ in all the 4 subjects (math/ A math/ comb phy/ comb chem) for his WA1 this year (after 3 months of lesson) Another student came in last year with 30+ for both math and science (last in class), but did obtain 60+ for his lower Sec math and science respectively in his EOY. I didn’t have experience teaching Chinese, but I’m proficient in Chinese and obtained A in O level Higher Chinese. On top of that I have worked as translator before, and I’m personally from China. Currently, I have also applied and been shortlisted for PGDE for primary Chinese, so I do wish to have Chinese students

Taught a Sec 4 student in 2021 for 1 year and his grades went from B4 in prelims to A2 for A Math in O levels.

Math has been a subject that i have been tutoring for quite a number of years from helping juniors, friends and my younger sibling from mastering and understanding the basic fundamentals to being able to solve more challenging and difficult problems. I really enjoy the happiness and joy when the person im helping is able to finally solve a difficult question or finally understand a concept that they were previously unsure about. I would also like to be able to help my students in application of the concept as i understand as a student whom just graduated that increasingly schools and exam board are moving towards more real life problems which requires a deeper understanding of both the concept as well as the question requirements making the question more challenging and more confusing.

Currently, I tutor students at the P2, P3, P4 & P6 levels in English. 2 years of experience teaching P1 English and Mathematics. 1 year of experience teaching preschool phonics. My teaching style incorporates different mediums such as assessment books, revision notes, exam papers, and fun activities to make lessons interesting and engaging. I will provide spelling lists and lesson plans before starting lessons, as well as comprehensive feedback given to parents after each lesson.
