As a highly motivated and experienced tutor, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a strong foundation in the subjects they are studying. With over 8 years of experience tutoring students, I have honed my teaching methods to be both effective and engaging. My approach emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of foundational concepts. Through my guidance and support, many of my students have achieved significant improvements in their grades. My previous Sec 1 student had improved from grades C6 to B4 and another student in Sec 3 E.Maths improved from E8 to C5. In 2018, one of my students was aiming for Normal Academic and had math and science grades of D. I managed to motivated my student to give his best and he successfully obtain a PSLE aggregate of 200 and got into Express instead, something I am very proud of. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I am committed to providing individualized support to help each student reach their full potential. I look forward to using my experience and expertise to help more students excel in their academic pursuits.

I am also confident in my aptitude for English and General Paper -- related experience includes my past experience as the President of my junior college's "International Current Affairs Society". Additionally, in junior college, my general paper teacher recommended me an internship in journalism due to my writing aptitude. My writing ability and style has been commended throughout my education, from primary school to university. For subjects such as O Level Geography/Social Studies, I am confident in my abilities but have no prior teaching experience. Teaching methods: Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Math): I will primarily focus on understanding theory, as well as understanding the requirements of exam questions. I am good at making content digestible for students. Teaching will involve a mixture of brief theory revision as well as practicing questions from examination papers. English and A-Level General Paper: I am particularly good at providing new angles of thinking and argument in essays. i also encourage students to understand questions better and to answer concisely and cohesively. Teaching for essays will involve a mix of topic exposure, slight debate, writing practice and correction. For short question-answer papers, teaching will involve paper practice -- question analysis and answering techniques, as well as practice and correction. For students not fluent in English, I am also able to teach them the fundamentals of language. I am currently also a student learning German; Employing my fluency in the English language alongside my tried-and-true learning methods for German (a similar language), I can make learning English easier for the student.

My current and previous pool of students consists of both local and few overseas students. I conduct my lessons both physically and virtually via online platforms. I am an undergraduate student, currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with Minor in Information Technology at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). Graduated with a Diploma of the same course in 2021 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. My experiences include: - Been teaching preschool children since 2019 as part of my major (intern experiences) - Presently teaching fundamentals of coding to preschool children aged 4 to 6 years old (enrichment programmes) - Presently also tutoring private primary school math (2 long term students - P4 & P5) For my teaching methodology, I do strive to ensure that the child cultivates a positive attitude towards learning mathematics. I place more emphasis in this compared to making sure that the child attain better results in a short period of time, as I perceive it as only a short term goal. I focus more on refining the child's application to concepts, identifying the questions and working on their strengths/flaws. Ultimately, providing a relaxed and enjoyable space for learning mathematics. I also believe that to achieve positive results, the student and the teacher has to work alongside together. Hence, optimal attitude towards learning is important to me. As I have only started private tutoring early 2023, I have yet to receive much results from the students to evaluate any prominent improvements made. However, my P5 student scored well for her recent test, from borderline pass/fail to attaining 75% overall. These students have also expressed that they enjoyed my teaching and liked how I relate real life experiences to math concepts (i.e. measuring time).

I began tutoring as a part-time job after completing the IB in 2022- for which I achieved a 43/45. Since then, I have and continue to tutor students ranging from Primary 1 to Secondary 4 in Mathematics, Science, and English.
