With four years of experience in early childhood and dance education, I specialise in tailoring lessons to meet each child's unique needs. As an early childhood educator with Calvary Community Care, I successfully helped students aged 5 to 8, including those facing challenges like illiteracy and learning disabilities, excel in grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. Students who were failing their English assignments went on to pass, and gained confidence in their use of the language thus bolstering all aspects of their education. My teaching approach creates a safe and validating environment, encouraging children to view mistakes as part of the learning process. In dance education, I've actively built trust with parents by providing regular updates on their child's progress, addressing specific concerns, and offering tailored home activities. Being an IB (International Baccalaureate) alumna, I instill the values of curiosity and interdisciplinary learning in my teaching. I am studying in SMU and also part time teaching social studies and history during the day at SJI. After school, I am tasked with running a program for our O-level boys. This involves providing small group lessons and consultations for weaker students in every subject, including Math and Sciences. Additionally, I have an extra 2 years of experience in providing 1-1 private tution. I have taught private tution for subjects at the O and A level as well as IGCSE. Including Emath, Amath, Physics, History and Economics. I have facilitated the improvement as I help to identify their weaknesses, be it whether it is their content foundation or their application skills. Tailor making lessons to suit their needs and combat these weaknesses.
