1. I’m currently on hiatus from medical school, I graduated with a BA in political science from Rutgers University. 2. I have 3 years of experience as a tutor, tutoring both primary and secondary school students in English, Math and Science. 3. I’m currently not teaching any students. 4. From 2017 to 2019, most of my students in Singapore had an average improvement of half a letter grade within a semester in English, Math and Science. In 2023, most of my students in the United States improved by a GPA score of 0.5, which is a 5% improvement on average. I had a few students who couldn’t even speak a word of English, and could barely recite the alphabet, but within a month, they could spell and pronounce many words of their grade level. 5. I would tailor the lesson according to the student’s needs and abilities. 6. I taught elementary school and middle school kids in the United States in 2023, both in person and online. Previously, I tutored primary and secondary school kids in Singapore between 2017 to 2019 before I went to medical school. 7. I could provide references if needed. 8. I do have experience tutoring online, in fact I prefer it. So far I have used only Zoom.
