Going to NUS Data Science and Analytics I have 1 year of tutoring experience, and I have had 3 students before. I taught H2 Math, O level E math and Combined Physics/Chemistry. H2 Math student: improved from D to A in 6 months E math student: improved from A2 to A1 in 2 months Combined Physics/Chemistry student: improved from B4 to A1 in 7 months I'm a tutor who aims to help you appreciate and understand Mathematics better. I help break down seemingly difficult concepts into simple chunks for your understanding. Mathematics will be so much more simple, and enjoyable. A typical tutoring session goes like this: 1. Going through of last session's homework (You can tell me any questions you have about the work, and I'll help you clear your misconceptions) 2. Afterwards, I'll go through the notes for a new topic/continue with the previous lesson's topic. I'll let you know what the common pitfalls of students are, the important concepts, everything you need to master this topic! (At any point you feel like you don't understand, don't hesitate to stop me. I'm more than happy to help you) 3. Lastly, I'll assign homework that covers everything we have learnt in the session, as well as do a quick wrap up.

I have not taught privately before but I have tutored children from pre-school to upper secondary as part of my volunteering programs. One Primary 4 child I took for 1.5 years during an after school program improved from a failing grade to a B in both English and Math. There have been other improvements from my tutees before but my strength lies in my patience and thoroughness in making sure the basics of each subject are mastered before moving on to difficult topical questions. I took Triple Sciences, IP Advanced Mathematics and have been consistently strong in my English throughout.

Currently a student from Stamford American High and a student from Geylang Methodist Primary I also volunteered for community service work at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS) to teach the rudiments of English to primary school equivalent students. As these students are suffering from Cerebral Palsy, a neuro-degenerative disease, they require more time and patience to work with. As I was preparing for my A levels at that time, I only had a short tenure there. Notwithstanding, in my class of five students, one of them managed to qualify to sit for the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) after being deemed fit to do so by the school itself.
