Although I have not been teaching for a very long time, I have a lot of experience guiding my peers and juniors in mathematics and I am confident that I would be able to teach students well with my ability. I guide and help students patiently, which I think would help students understand the concepts better without further stress. I also use different examples and questions to help students with their understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

I have one year experience teaching students H2 chemistry. I tutored my peers as I have consistently gotten A for H2 Chemistry, and many of them improved a minimum of one grade or said they could understand topics much better than before. I tend to incorporate alot of mnemonics into learning topics. During my one year experience teaching, I focused more on the topics that involved less memorisation and more understanding. I gave my peers tips and highlighted potential pitfalls that other students may miss out on in the topics, or while revising. I will highlight the possible tricks played by the examiners in the test papers and how to avoid them. I have also taught students in primary school during volunteer work. These kids have below average literacy level and I would grab their attention span by introducing them to books that are more of their interests. I adapt to their learning styles, such as wanting to read or learn alone - I would ask them for a summary of the article they were reading as well as ask them questions to test their learning.

I have been teaching my younger brother since secondary 1 for Tamil and science. He have improved in Tamil and I have helped him to get better grades. For example, in secondary 3 he improved from B4 to A1.

I have always been a science student and studied science in Temasek polytechnic. I previously taught a primary 6 student science during PSLE period. My previous job experience as a student mentor at a renown primary school also gave me experience in teaching subjects not only science in specific. I taught from Pri 1- 6 during my stay at the primary school.
