I have been teaching in a private tuition center. I teach from primary to junior college. Have taught 4 students H2 chemistry before in home tuition and tuition centre. I have experience in teaching primary 3 and 4 science as I have helped the student to achieve AL2 in her final term exams. She had achieved a consistent AL1 in her weighted assessment. I have experience in teaching Sec 1/2 science and maths for 2 years and have helped 2 students to achieve A1 for both their science and maths. One of which he scored top of his class and he even got bronze for SIMCC. I have 2 years of experience in teaching additional mathematics be it in G2/G3 and have helped 4 students scored consistent A1 in their Weighted assessments and prelims. I have 2 years of experience in teaching A level chemistry and have helped 3 students to achieve A in their prelims.

I have 2 years experience I taught J1 H2 Chemistry to a student from YIJC, student improved from D to B I was also teaching primary 5 and 6 math during volunteering. I have also taught secondary 3 math for half year. After giving tuition to the sec 3 girl, her grades increase from B4 to A2. I have taught Sec 4 Higher Chinese for half year, student’s grades improved from B3 to A1. I like to understand my student’s needs and preferences before crafting a personalised learning plan for them. I hope to make the lesson fun and engaging for students while improving together

My experience mainly involves teaching my friends but I currently have one student under me. I prefer to teach by walking through the entire thought process of dissecting a question and then answering it step by step, which is particularly effective for sciences and mathematics. I also enjoy sharing exam tips that I have personally found useful. Given that I recently graduated (IP; just took A-Levels), I would say I have a solid understanding of the syllabus (IP/OP).

Hi, I'm Cibi Chandar. I'm currently awaiting enrollment into the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2025. I have an IB Diploma from ACS (Independent), with an IB score of 44/45. I have one year of experience tutoring for two Secondary 4 students. They improved from B3/B4 to A1 for their O-level advanced and elementary mathematics. From my tutoring experience \, I have realized that schools only really focus on textbook content for certain topics, as opposed to answering techniques and cultivating a deeper understanding of the subject. This can lead to a learning gap for students, and as a tutor I believe that it is my role to identify and bridge those gaps. I like to break down complex ideas and present them in a clear, step-by-step manner, providing explanations for each step to foster a deeper understanding. I also make it a point to communicate the learning progress of the tutee with the parents, so that parents are kept up to date and can know what to expect from the tutee in their upcoming examinations.

I am a firm believer of engaging and enriching young minds; actively challenging students with cognitive activities to further develop their social emotional skills and enhancing their experiential learning. My pedagogy has always been student centred as learning occurs most effectively when teachers and students work together towards a common goal thus allowing conversation to motivate each other, which teaches language and meaning, and values in the context of immediate issues. Through conversations, students can learn how to share their ideas, express how they feel and form opinions. Developing students competence in the language of instruction is the most fundamental as thinking, social language and formal academic language are inseparable. It is a necessity for language to be fostered through purposeful, deliberate conversations instead of drilling. This can be achieved by contextualizing curriculum to students’ experiences and community. Utilising the knowledge they already have and helping them to connect. Understanding that each student has different learning capacity hence careful levelling of task is required. Students who are at risk of educational failure will require cognitively challenging activities that will motivate them to think and analyse but not be overwhelmed to be discouraged by their efforts.
