First of all, I am currently an IGCSE student. Now, before you scroll past, I would like to request for one minute of your precious time.

I have been meaning to begin tutoring others for a while now, but have been held back due to my inexperience with the local syllabus - going to an international school. However, I have taken a few months now to familiarise myself with it and to my maximum potential try to be the best tutor I can be (having great interest in the field of Math myself).

I have tutored kids and teenagers before, but free of cost, and since this being my first time charging for my service, I can assure you my prices will be reasonable.

Frankly, I don't want to constrain myself to a specific teaching method, and hence, how I would tutor one would vary from an individual to another. I believe each student thinks and learns differently, and I am here and ready to adapt to your styles and preference. All I would need is mutual commitment, and soon enough your grades would reflect your handwork!!

After completed two Masters programmes locally, I received a full scholarship which covered four years of tuition fees and living expenses as I pursued my PhD studies at the University of Gloucestershire, UK. After completed my PhD studies, I returned to become a full time lecturer at postgraduate level teaching humanities subjects such as Ancient Text, Greek and Hebrew language, and Hermeneutics. Prior to this, I had been a full time youth worker in my younger days for 14 years. Two years ago, I decided to become a full time private tutor and a shadow teacher. As a private tutor, I teach English, Maths, History, Literature. I have students from primary school to university. As a shadow teacher, I am engaged by parents to support their autistic children in local government primary and secondary schools. My responsibility is to provide social intervention to these children during school hours.

I have five years of part-time teaching experience, teaching children in Primary School for English, Maths and Science and adolescents in Secondary School for English, History and Accounting.

Over the years, i began to establish positive relationships with students, to further encourage and empower them to do their best, by setting goals and working on both their strengths and weaknesses on topics and subjects we identified together. In doing so, we work towards a common goal with mutual trust, which many students are more motivated in doing so. Moreover, i liken to teach students with set of values, citing examples and scenarios to encourage them that they are beyond what they expected of themselves.

My most recent proudest moment was when one of my students, a Primary 6 Foundation girl, managed to score mostly Band 1 and 2 for her school's preliminary examinations, despite her impeding start at the beginning of the year, with mostly failing or borderline grades. She was equally proud of herself as she initiated to set higher goals for herself, setting my heart and mind to reach her potential even further.

This is what i will like to do for the younger generation of students, that tuition is not just about doing questions after questions, but also more so having students to self-actualise and become more aware of their truest potential.
