I'm a very passionate tutor and I have been giving home tuition to primary school students as well as had experience teaching in a tuition centre since 2012. Through my 2 years of tutoring experience, I have received many positive feedbacks and has helped my students to achieve better results.

As I believe that every student is unique, I will facilitate their learning by adapting my teaching methods to suit their learning style. In the first lesson, I will be using textbook and reference books to have a better understanding of his/her foundations in the subject. Subsequently, suitable materials that suit the student's level of understanding would be prepared for a much effective learning at the right pace.

I have a total of 5 years of tutoring and teaching experience, and have tutored 4 students before.

When I was studying in Temasek Junior college, I tutored a primary 2 student for Maths as part of my CCA mentorship programme.

After my A levels, I was accepted into the MOE Teaching Internship Programme, and I taught in Dunman Secondary School for one school term. I had taught 2 classes of Sec 1 students Maths and 1 class of Sec 1 students Science. I also taught 1 class of Sec 3 students Chemistry and another class of Sec 4 students Amaths.

While I was an undergraduate in NUS, I have also given Chemistry, Amaths and Emaths tuition to a Secondary 4 student. Her results improved from Fail to A2 for all the 3 subjects. At the same time, I also taught a Primary 3 student Maths and her results improved from barely passing to getting above 80/100 for her exams.

My most recent student was from the IP programme and I taught her Maths from Sec 1 till Sec 2. Her results improved vastly from obtaining Cs to close to full marks for her exams.

I will be graduating end of 2015.

I have three years of experience doing long term relief teaching in a school in the West area of Singapore. I am familiar with the current MOE syllabus for Maths, English and Malay as I have taught these subjects before on top of Physical Education, which I also teach. I have taught students ranging from Primary One level all the way to Primary Six and would have no problems in interacting with them and identifying their various learning methods. I use the Experience-Reflect-Apply approach in my classes as I believe that it is able to maximize the student's learning potential and at the same time encourage them to become an active learner. Motivation is also a key factor that influences a child's learning and students learn better if they are given the hands-on approach, which I have observed in my PE lessons. With that in mind, I strive to use this method of teaching in my classroom lessons whenever and wherever possible.<br> <br> Currently I am a contract teacher at Boon Lay Primary school teaching P5 Maths and English.
