I taught English and Social Studies Relevant grades ‘O’ Levels 3 points English A1 Currently teaching 3 students - 1 each from 1Exp, 2Exp, 3NA. - all are following up with me next year While I was with MOE, I was given the opportunity to take on the role of the Level Coordinator (LC) for several streams and levels. As LC, I created resources for the entire cohort and also analysed their results to identify their areas of strengths and weaknesses. Then, I came up with strategies to help them improve. I usually use Google Meet for online lessons. I join on both my computer and iPad so I can teach and see the student and his/her work from my laptop while I share screen and teach using my iPad (while allows me to annotate freely). Students will send me their work when needed and I will also mark and give feedback using my iPad. Annotation and being able to write on the materials I am projecting on screen is essential for English teaching and when giving feedback. If the parents and child would like, I will also check in with parents about the child’s progress and to see if there is any other way I can support the child’s learning via an online platform. Results 2022: A past student approached me to teach her privately. She was Secondary Five and I have her a one month crash course for Social Studies. She managed to pull her D7 Prelim grade up to a B3 for her ‘O’ Levels. 2023: - Sec 1 2023: AL5 to B4 for EL overall - Sec 2 2023: C6 for Sec 1 EOY to B4 Sec 2 EOY - Sec 3NA 2023: I took the student in Sec 3 this year. Her last recorded grade was D7 for EL overall in Sec 1. She got C5 for EL overall EOY this yr.
