I was a senior Chinese teacher and I had worked in government schools in China for more than 20 years.After moving to Singapore, I have been engaged in a full time Chinese tutor for six years. I am familiar with the Singapore examination syllabus and has helped many students and adults effectively improve their Chinese level. I mainly teach Chinese, and sometimes I also teach mathematics to Chinese native speakers. Generally, students who come to tutoring fail in Chinese, but after three or four months of tutoring, they can pass or get a B.. There are also some children with a good foundation who can get a B and seek better results. Through training, you can reach a better level and maintain stability within about half a year.

I have nearly two years of experience teaching Mathematics at both the primary and secondary levels. I am currently tutoring a Primary 6 student in Mathematics through SmilesTutor, where the student has shown clear improvement, progressing from a failing grade to a passing result. About Me I’m a dedicated and adaptable tutor with a background in engineering and a passion for helping students grow both academically and personally. I graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with a scholarship and currently work as a project engineer, bringing a structured and problem-solving approach to my teaching. Teaching Experience Summary I have experience in one-to-one Science tutoring for upper primary levels. One of my most impactful experiences was working with a student from Nam Hua Primary School, who initially scored 40 marks in Science. Over a focused 4–5 month period leading up to her PSLE, I helped her improve her understanding and confidence—ultimately achieving a score of above 90. Younger boy (with ADHD condition diagnosed in 2024) scored AL5 in P5 SA2 after I stopped his private tuition. He scored AL7 in his P5 CA2 under an ex-MOE teacher.
