I am a Law student from Durham University, as President of the Durham University Pro Bono Society, and was awarded the Durham and College Award

I have been tutoring since 2015. I have had many primary school students, 2 from Tao nan, 2 from CHIJ Katong, 1 from Haig Girls, 1 from Kong Hwa, and others.

I have tutored quite a few Secondary school and JC students. Recently for math specifically, I tutored a Sec 4 RG girl (from 2.8 to 4.0 GPA) and a Sec 4 student (from F9 to B3). I have previously tutored other students for math, a Sec 2 from ACS, a Sec 1 from Tanjong Katong, a Sec 4 from Dunman High, a J1 from Victoria JC and a J1 from NJC and others.

I have been teaching GP in Dunman High School (JC section) since 2021. I have been offered the role of Subject Head for GP for 2025. For home tuition, my students have improved: HCI J2 girl: E promos to A at A levels MI Y3 boy: S promos to A at A levels I am very familiar with the new A level syllabus, and am responsible for vetting the department's answer schemes, as well as developing remedial programmes and stretch programmes targeting high ability students. My classes have often performed above the cohort average at Prelims and the A levels. I am able to assist for both skills and content, and have extensive experience working with both low and high ability students.

I have 2 years of experience teaching primary school math. My p4 student improved from a 28/100 to a 56/100 after a few month, and my p6 student improved from a 60/100 to getting an A. I have one year of experience with E.Math and Amath. My s3 student improved from from a 16/25 to 22.25/25 for his test, and my s4 student improved from a low 50s to a high 50s for her mid year exams. I believe that with sufficient practice and a strong understanding of the concepts needed, a good grade in math is definitely achievable. My style of teaching is mainly based on practice and understanding the method to solving each type of question.

I graduated with 5 distinctions in the National exams from Raffles Junior College. I was a scholarship recipient in the University Scholar's Programme in NTU.

I am passionate about about Literature, and have experience tutoring in this discipline. I am able to provide useful feedback on writing and analytical skills, and closely examine poetry and prose.

I am able to commit weekly, and will be to commit up to 3 hours a week.

I am very patient and nurturing, and have experience working with youths and young adults. I am able to convey content with a sense of humour, and am adaptable in my teaching to interest others in the subject.
I am friendly and energetic, and am able to make others engaged in the subject of interest.

I believe in patience, and in cultivating not only subject content, but also skills that the student will be able to carry forward with him/her. Beyond the academic discipline, I believe in weaving in values such as determination and resilience, as well as moral values or empathy which some poetry or Literature texts may be able to highlight. I believe that Literature provides a useful tool to develop global-mindedness.

Have been tutoring a boy from primary school till secondary 2, he made it to HwaChong after his PSLE and is continuing to do well in his school. I am tutoring him English, Math and Lower sec science. His science was a C6 in his mid year exams and improved to an A1 in his end of years due to my rigorous curriculum.
