Hi i am Zhi Xiang, i am currently seeking employment as a part time tuition teacher as i await for my university school term to start. Even though this will be my virgin experience in tutoring part time, i have tutored many of my juniors back in secondary school when they encounter difficulties.

 I understand that each student has his/her unique learning style and learning pace, hence i am willing to be patient and use a variety of approach to cater to each needs.

I received two Zhonghua scholarship back when I was in secondary two and three. Back then like many of my peers, I struggled with the transition from sec 2 to sec 3,  I understand how difficult it is for students to adept to the mounting stress and workload.  I believe having a firm understanding in the lower secondary syllabus is integral and I sincerely want to help my lower sec. tutees build a strong foundation in preparation for upper secondary and  ultimately 'O's. That said I feel that secondary three is  extremely important, it is the beggining phase of the syllabus to be tested in 'O's, henceforth I believe that it is essential for a tutor to be able to bridge any learning gap and also to start preparing the tutee for Os.

My methodology of teaching will be to go through the syllabus as accordance to the school teaching pace, like that the student will have a clearer understanding. I will provide a set of my own personal notes for my tutees (if there is a need) to highlight the key points to take note. Nonetheless I will assign homeworks for my tutees after each session and I will go through with them during the next lesson. I understand the student's hectic schedule, as such I will try my best to handpick questions that I feel will truely aid the students understanding.

Finally, even though it is my first official experience in tutoring part time, I am confident
that i will be able to work closely with the tutee to achieve steady results.

I have been conducting private tuition classes since 2004 on both 1-on-1 and small group basis. All study materials are meticulously designed and prepared to aid students in mastering the concepts for Chemistry and Physics. - Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting and Finance - Graduated with Second Upper Class Honours in May 2019; Attained 5 Distinction and 2 Merit grades Currently graduated full time tutor and have a total of 18 tutees at hand right now; of which include 6 primary school students (english, math & chinese). Taught 3 kids for PSLE eng & math for year 2019. Gave home tuitions for more than 6 years and taught more than 20 students before. Rather than a spoon feeding method, I'd prefer to use an approach that stimulate students' thought process and critical thinking. It is such that they are still able to solve the questions regardless how they are being tweak as I will do drills with student to ensure their foundation and concept are strong enough. Will also provide students with materials to practice and do up lesson plan to ensure each lesson is well-spent and productive. Students, under my teaching, usually take 1-2 months to show significant improvement in their studies. Able to start anytime and will commit until end of year as I understand it is paramount for student to have a consistent teaching to experience the most effective learning.
