I break down questions and make students understand what the question is asking for before explaining them the concepts. Use diagrams and analogies for explanation. Hi, I am an ex-MOE Chemistry teacher with 18 years of teaching experience in Temasek Junior College. I was also a PSC teaching scholar from 1996 to 2000.
I am also a dedicated, patient and responsible tutor who is familiar with the most recent revised Chemistry H2 and H1 syllabus to help students see the interconnection of different concepts. I can also give practical guidance, tips and support to my tutees to help you prepare for the A-level practical exam.

Track Record
On average, at least 50-60% of my past H2 students get A grades for A-Level exams,
At least 70-80% of my H1 students get A grades for A-Level exams, well above national average.
Almost all students got at least a 2-grade improvement for A-level exams compared to their prelim exams.
The best record of class result is all As and 2 Bs in a class of 25 in 2009.
A few of my students topped the Chemistry cohort in their Prelim exams, eg in 2016 and 2017.
Several of my students also won the silver award in the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad in 2015 and 2017.

I have been a Mendaki tutor for the last 3 years. In the first year, I was part of the Intensive Revision Programme which prepared Primary 6 students for their PSLE English and Maths examinations. In the second year, I was the form teacher of a Secondary 1 class, teaching both English and Maths. In the third year, I was a relief tutor for Secondary 1 to Secondary 5 English and Maths. Aside from being a Mendaki tutor, I am also a home tutor to 4 Primary school students. In the span of 6 months, my students improved from a Fail to a B in Math.
