I have 3 years of teaching experience and I have a total of 5 students both emaths and amaths included. One of my students that I taught for Emaths improved from D7 to B4 in just 4 lessons with me. Another one of my students improved from a just pass grade to B3 in his exams. My teaching style is to make sure the students fully understand the concepts through exposing them to many different questions of varying difficulties. I focus on clarifying any doubts the students have may in school and to reinforce their understanding with challenging questions and exam typed questions.

I have a year of teaching upper primary school level Mathematics and science to a primary 5 and a 4 student. The primary 5 student improved from a average failing score to a solid passing grade and is slowly achieving higher grades in her Mathematics. The primary 4 student improved from a B grade to a A grade in Mathematics.

I've been teaching since I was an undergraduate 10 years ago. Even though I had full time jobs in the past, I was teaching on the side. From 2010 to 2014, I taught sec 3 and 4 students and under me, their grades improved by at least 2 bands. e.g C6 to B3, B3 to A1. At least 80% of them got distinctions. From 2015 onward, I started taking in JC students and developed a system to help them excel in Math. Between 2016 to 2018, I taught in a tuition centre, handling groups of students. Distinction rate was over 75%. Today, I have over 20 students during peak months and my passion for teaching is still burning ever stronger. I believe that communication and mutual effort between students and tutors are very important. Afterall, it takes two to clap. I do not believe in spoon-feeding and I make it a point to explain each and every concept clearly, finding ways to help the understand rather than memorise. Rest assured, your child is in good hands under my care.

I have been teaching my son, as well as the children of other relatives for the last 10 years with great success. My son entered the Gifted Education Program in Nanyang Primary. Currently, he is enrolled in SJI International. My career has been in trading and investments, primarily in hedge funds. I was the founding member of the largest homegrown hedge fund in Singapore and the Asia Pacific. I retired earlier this year to spend more time with my family. From the very active corporate life I led until recently, I find myself with a lot more time on my hands than I know what to do. My wife suggested that I give tuition. Since my national service days, because I was a stay-out personnel, I gave tuition during the entirety of my military service. Subsequently, during the course of my career, I continued to teach my son Mathematics and English. Given my son's academic success, relatives started to ask me for help with their children. I did my best to oblige. I tutored 2 of my nephews and a niece. All 3 had grade improvements of between one to two grades. For English, both of my nephews grades went from B to A (Secondary level). My niece's grade for Math went from 60% in Secondary 1 to 90% by the time she got to Secondary 3. Philosophically, my teaching style is to build a strong foundation first and foremost. Good results will follow. I'm a strong believer in education as a social leveller.

Trained SPED educator Elaine has obtained full time Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education, specialising in Special Needs. Recently teaching children with learning disabilities in Epworth Literacy Centre. Her experience includes teaching children who learn English as Second Language (ESL) and children with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, GDD, ADHD and Autism. She is trained in Orton Gillingham Method and has exposure to other leading methods too. Also able to teach students basic life skills.
