I have 6 years experience of tutoring mostly primary school children (in math and science), where most of my students are primary 2-6. I also have tutored secondary 1 and 2 students in Normal Academic Stream. I am currently tutoring a primary 6 foundation student meaning I am able to tutor students who are currently doing foundation subjects. After giving tuition, my students are able to improve their grades and obtain minimally 70-75%. I believe that the students are the ones who can hone their own abilities where their commitment and dedication towards school work can improve their grades. I am comfortable tutoring students who may have learning difficulties or who are failing their subjects. My methods of teaching would be to drill using past year exam papers and other school papers along with some topical assessment books if necessary. I am also open towards giving tuition online if there needs to be a sense of safety. I am also open to feedback if there needs to be any changes or improvements which can enhance the well-being of my students

I taught Sec 2 NA math & Sec 3 E&A math for 1-1 tuition. I also was on an internship for a month to teach P5 math at a primary school. For Sec2NA, only was with her for a few months so didn’t go through any big exam with her. For her tests, she usually fails but when I taught her, she passed, though not a super big improvement, still had some improvements and she had better understanding of the concepts. For the E&A math student, he was already doing pretty well when I first started with him. He got A1 in the end for his EOY.

I have 3 months experience teaching math to a small group of secondary 2 students. Their grades improved from B4 to A2. Tuition was conducted with them asking questions during sessions or through phone outside of lesson tinting. I also taught an intro to computing course in NUS to a group of 20 students for 1 1/2 years. Slides were prepared and taught to students during lessons. Teaching feedback was 4.5/5 above average of 4.3.
