I am now teaching in SAJC for H2 maths. More than 10 years of experience and helped students obtained an A & B for the subject. Have also helped students who found me in the last few months nearing A levels jumped from U grade to C grade and better. Able to adjust explanations to deepen understanding of concepts. Able to guide students to construct notes for important topics that will also aid in revision when preparing for major examinations. The students I take always performed better for H2 Maths compared to their other subjects. Personally obtained A for H2 Maths and Merit for H3 Maths. Have also been a teaching assistant when I was a University student so I am able to cater to academic needs of students with different learning abilities.

I’ve taught as a part-time Teacher Assistant for 1 week on a work attachment at Eton’s House. As for how my tuition sessions will go, I want to try to be an in-between of a friend and a tutor, while teaching and being strict on their homework I would also like to appear as a figure that the tutee can treat as a friend as the age gap isn’t as large with some other tutors. Furthermore, I would use some sort of incentive such as getting the tutee something they want if they do well for their exams. Despite having close to 0 experience, I have always enjoyed helping others throughout my Secondary School life and even right now in Polytechnic as I always try my best to help my friends and classmates when they seem like they are in need of help. In the past, some juniors have also approached me for help with their school work. I would be glad to be given an opportunity to teach others yet again.

I am a final year student at NUS pursuing double major in Data Science and Economics, maintaining a first class honours grade average. I graduated from RI in 2017 with a perfect score for A levels (PCME, 90 rank points). I have taught multiple tutees in Maths and Economics for both O levels and A levels (4 years of experience) and helped them achieve tremendous improvements (e.g. one tutee went from D in prelims to A in the actual exam for H2 econs).

I was enlisted by my aunt to assist both my younger cousins during their preparation for the O levels in 2020 and 2021. I helped them with the subjects of English and HSS as that is where my strengths lie, the older one achieved an A1 for both subjects while the younger achieved one A1 and one A2. Tutoring them really made me realise that I have a passion for teaching and helping students achieve results. Now finished with my A levels, I hope that you can give me the opportunity to teach more students. I assure you that I am ready to commit fully to any student and help them as best as I can. I emphasise the mastery of skills rather than content mastery, as writing skills diffrentiate between the A students and the B students. I would recommend short term skill mastery courses rather than long term tuition commitments, as skills do not take that long to learn and they will never leave a student's arsenal.
