I have had experience tutoring IGCSE Economics, English, Biology, and Chemistry. I have just completed my IB diploma and am very familiar with the procedure of IB often propelling fellow classmates particularly in the subject of English by providing critique on both their essay planning procedure and writing. This has drastically improved some of their scores most notably from a predicted 5 to a final grade of 7. i generally believe in learning through practices and making mistakes instead of content lecture and memory. i like to emphasise on answering techniques and working on weak areas which is something that students dont get to do in a classroom setting with their teachers. as someone with great ambition and coming from a top school with overloading commitments, i often give advice to parents and students alike for them to cope with school better after learning from my own school experiences. i am not just a tutor who just appears for 2 hours to whack content and leave, parents often talk to me after lesson for advice and my own personal experiences which i am very glad to share and to help my student in other areas. have been doing both private teaching and tuition centre teaching for the past 2 years, teaching from sec 1 to j2, various subjects such as science, math, chemistry, biology and general paper. previously helped a student improve from S to C within a few months in j2 and ultimately B for A levels. most of my students only started engaging me midway through j2 and i am happy to see that i was able to help them improve despite the short time together. i am a very dedicated and committed tutor who spends personal time coming up with a different lesson plan to cater to every student for their needs and standards are different instead of a one size fits all.

I have worked at a creative writing tuition center in the past and enjoyed my engagement with the students there. I have the strong ability to not only teach, but motivate students to do better. Moreover, I am currently mentoring two youths under a volunteering scheme, providing them with academic help and general guidance. I have about 8 years of teaching experience, specializing in Chemistry subject. I am familiar with the syllabus such as O-level, A-level, IGCSE and AP Chemistry. I teach AP Chemistry to my students in school and am certified AP Chemistry teacher by AP college board. I conduct class based on understanding students' current level and their progress so far and make the learning pace suitable for them. I have students from Chung Cheng High School, Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School and St. Nicholas Girl's School. To me, each student is different. My style focuses more on finding out the students understanding method and then tailoring the teaching methodology as per the students' needs. Student will be given concise notes and tons of practice questions to help enhance deeper understanding. I am a friendly and approachable teacher, who makes classroom learning more vibrant. I have a strong academic and professional background. From winning first place in the entire school in seventh grade to winning an iPhone 8 for my great contribution to SingTel, I have maintained my consistency to succeed in all phases of my life. In Singapore, I have 1.5 years of private tutoring experience. I've taught seven students in the last 1.5 years, and they've all done quite well in their subjects. I've taught Science, English, and math to 5th graders. This student was struggling with mathematics and biology topics, so I used my creative techniques to help him understand them. I have taught English to two Japanese siblings in Singapore, and both made significant progress. Their parents have given me very positive feedback. Another student I taught in third grade was struggling in mathematics and made significant progress in just two months. Additionally, I have taught English, Maths and Science to 2 P3 students and one P5 student from June 2022 to Oct 2022(till their final exams).
