I have over 5 years of tutoring experiences focusing on P1 - P3 Maths and Chinese. Over the 5 years I had help more than 80 students. For those students that stayed with me from P1 to P3, their grade always maintain at A grade. I also have students that were being referred to me having bad grade and over months, their grade will improve either to B and eventually to A. I had few Indian students that selected Chinese as their second language and they fail badly during their P1, after I guided them for a few months, their score A since then.

I graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in 2012. Recently in 2020, I graduated with a Master of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from NUS with a PEB Gold Medal (Awarded to the top student of the cohort) as my part-time studies . I had worked in the Air Force for 10 years before transitioning to a Technical Support Engineer role in a private company. While I do not have any official teaching or tutoring experience, I believe my credentials will prove that I have the right fundamentals in academic subjects (Math and Physics). I am also a patient in nature, and would strive to strengthen the critical concepts in the students.

Previously, I have created a worksheet on my own for my Combined Biology student to aid in her understanding of fundamental concepts. While tutoring, I believe in building a strong rapport with both the tutee and their parents. This is because I strongly feel that in a child's education, both parties have to be equally involved and interested. While I will communicate mainly with the tutee, updates will be given to the parents as well. It is always a two-way communication process when I am the tutor, as I customize every lesson to the tutee's learning curve. My patience and outgoing demeanour are my strengths, and I used them to gain the tutee's trust, and her parents', and as a team we worked towards helping the tutee understand her concepts, and increase the quality of practice she does. On top of my personality, pursuing Biology further in the National University of Singapore has allowed me to continue and in-depth understanding of various processes that I learnt in Secondary school and Junior College. Should the student ask me higher-order questions, I will try my best to explain to them with the knowledge gained in university. I am not out of touch with Chemistry or Mathematics either, as NUS' approach of education is well-rounded and cross-disciplines.
