I'm an experienced tutor, having been teaching for the past 5 years. I help develop a strong foundation in the subjects I teach and ensure my students can see how the concepts they learn in classroom are applicable in the real world. I have taught IB and IGCSE students for around 4-5 years now. I graduated with first class honours in engineering and computer science and even went on exchange to stanford university. I had 3 years of teaching experience. Previously I was a tutor at Freeman tuition center, teaching A math from December 2019 to April 2020. On the side, I taught 5 students (Private Home tuition 1-1). 4 of the 5 students, had excellent results for A math during their O-Level examination. 2 of the 4, improved from a C6 in prelims to an A1 during their O-Levels. I have other tutoring experiences in E-Math, English, Combined Humanities(History and Social Studies) and Chinese. About myself: I specialise in A math, I scored an A1 for A-Math in secondary school and I was the top of the cohort and I was given the prize of first in standard. In university, I topped my cohort for mathematics as well. Being a slow starter and having a rough start in early life. I understand how a student would feel being in a society where it is so academically focused. With this experience, I am able to communicate better with my students that have a hard time with their academics. I will be able to tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of my student.

I have 3 years experience in teaching Kindergarten Chinese @ MOE Kindergarten, children whom have no Chinese background are mostly able to speak and write simple words under my guidance. I have 1/2 year experience in teaching Secondary 1 Higher Chinese Writing, boy’s mum feedback that he had improved in using more phrases and writing techniques in his school’s writing. I’m a volunteer tutor with Happy Children Happy Future, where I tutor children of different ages ranging from primary 1 to secondary 4 students.
